Update 9/11

Sun Sep 12, 2004, 10:36 AM
+ I apologize people. Everyone is busy around here. I haven't been on much, and neither has Issac to my knowlage, but don't you worry folks, as of 10/21, I'll be driving the Free Speech Network into 2005. That means leaving ~ BootlegJones until the 2nd of January 2005.

+ The DNC and RNC has gone by without word nor peep from me or the staff of FSN, so I'm here to go over this with you.

DNC: Oh, what a site it was. The democrates came out strong the first night, except one little flaw; the most poiniant argument in favor of the democratic ticket was given by a republican, and he wasn't even talking about John Kerry, or George W. Bush, or John Wilkes Booth. He was talking about Stem Cell Research. And although I did not catch all of his speech in pointing out the prospective gains of stem cell research, but most of it I'll be damned if I understood. Basically, Stem Cells would be used to cure people with paralysis and alzheimer's because what happens to the people of these diseases is some of their neurons have died, and as Stem Cells in an undeveloped form, can replace the neurons that have died, therefore aiding greatly if not curing them of their fatalities. But I digress. When I heard Al Gore spoke, I thought that at least they have the common sense to let him speak. Then I thought "I woknder what would happen if a disgruntled Liberman rushed the stage and tore one of Al's limbs off?" I bet that would've changed the polls. That and Obama, but I'll get into that later. When Kerry came out to speak, it was as if my life was changing. I had survived this convention, and I knew that all I needed to do was jump this last hurdle. However, this hurdle is much bigger...

RNC: That's right, the Republican National Convention, hosted in good ol' New York City. And what better place than to drone on about one critical point, or, two critical words: 9/11. I swear, after watching the Republican National Convention, I just wished they never ran those planes into those towers so I didn't have to hear "9/11" repeated over and over, as if broken in time. But even as I did try to look past that, there were still so many amusing and appealing aspects to this convention, such as: The Bush twins horrible jokes, an old mans dream of the old "Dueling Days", and of coarse the biggest known embarassment to republicans, politicians, and black people everywhere, Alan Keyes. Yes, the 2000 presidential candidate who never made it past the primary's (I wonder why?...), now running for the senate in my home state, Illinois. But we all know he doesn't stand a chance for two reasons. One, Obama is a great politician with a clean record and a good heart. And two, because Alan Keyes is an incompitant moron. The stuff that comes out of his mouth is stuff I wouldn't say if I had a blood alcohol level of .1. Then, once we got Mr. Bush out and talking, we had one thing, and I like to call this thing a "drone", because all he did was drone on on a speech that was prepared by someone else. Now, I'm not saying that's a bad thing given our presidents lack of, ahem, verbal skills, but I don't really trust a guy who can't even write his own speeches. But after the balloons fell, I knew I could put down the knife. It was all over.

So in closing, both conventions did little to spark the polls, and therefore were complete bullshit. Minus a few key speakers, I could have heard better speeches in a junior high debate team.

Whatever November brings, let's just hope we're ready for it.

+ Edit: This is *sh4vo. I'm now part of the Free Speech Network's main administration staff. I'm sorry for not introducing myself earlier, but I've been trying to get some pending projects ready first. I hope I can bring some new life to this project because it sure as hell is worth it! Thanks.
